Gardeners and plant lovers can select from a multitude of indoor and outdoor plants at this year’s “Plant Promotion” on Saturday, May 18th. From 9 a.m. until noon, the public can browse through a variety of plants at the New Bonneville County Fair Grounds building at 15 E 73 S (immediately south of Sandy Downs)
Annually, Bonneville County master gardeners hold the Plant Promotion fundraiser to benefit its programs. Many of the plants come from the gardens and yards of local master gardeners. Others are donated by area nurseries and garden centers. Additional items include gift cards, gardening equipment and landscape items. Monetary donations are accepted for all items.
On May 18th, plants available to the public will include tomatoes, houseplants, bulbs, seeds, herbs, ground covers, vegetable starts, and a wide variety of annual and perennial flowers, as well as trees and shrubs. Master gardeners will be on hand to answer questions, help with planting ideas, and offer landscaping and gardening tips.
Anyone wishing to donate plants, seeds, tree starts, shrubs, gardening materials, etc., can drop them off at the Bonneville County Extension Office at 2925 Rollandet before Friday, May 17th. On Friday May 17th donations need to be dropped off at the new Bonneville County Fair Grounds building at 15 E 73 S (immediately south of Sandy Downs)
