The Long Night is an event where participants run, hike, walk, etc. 4.167 miles each hour beginning at 8:00pm on Jan 20 and continuing at the top of the hour each hour until 8:00am on Jan 21. Participants can complete all 12 hours, or come for 1, 2 or however many hours suit them. The goal is that no one runs alone during the long dark night.
The event is free, however, we attempt to raise as much money as we can for a local non-profit, Coming Home, Incorporated. Coming Home, Incorporated provides assistance to veterans and their families to ensure that they don’t feel alone. Their support includes cleaning, grocery shopping, monthly gatherings and more.
