This is a fundraiser for the Iona Public Library with all proceeds going to support the library. It is a dance for dad’s (or a parent) and all his daughters to come and enjoy being together. There will be dancing, face painting, crowns to keep, refreshments and opportunities to have pictures taken together. Also there will be a variety of princesses on hand to meet.
Come to this free event to listen to local professionals talk about how to become more vulnerable in sharing our struggles and why doing that is good for our mental health. Coping skills and local resources will be shared as well. There will also be a Q&A section where people can ask questions anonymously.
Mrs. Rexburg Mary Grampp will share what she’s learned about emotional resilience through pregnancy loss, the death of a child, and her husband’s terminal diagnosis.
Concessions will be available!

Come have a conversation with one of our pediatricians! They will answer any questions and discuss what to expect in the hospital with your newborn, follow up visit schedule, immunizations, car seats, circumcisions and so much more! This event is free. Parents new and seasoned are welcome. Popcorn and some fun swag will be provided. Please call 208-523-3060 to register.
The oldest dog sled race in the lower 48! the first sled dogs will leave the gate each morning starting at 8:30 a.m. and every 2 minutes after that. We are expecting 25-30 teams of dogs this year, ranging in size from 2 dogs teams to 12. Races begin in Ashton; they make a big loop to the east and finish back at the start.
To get here, take highway 20 to Ashton, turn east and watch for signs. We suggest that you leave the cat at home, but bring the whole family including the dog.
Because weather conditions can change, the location of the starting gate may be adjusted accordingly. As always, for more information and updates check our website: americandogderby.com.

Education is a key factor in the rehabilitation of inmates and their ability to achieve success after their release. The libraries in the correctional institutes both adult and juvenile in Idaho are lacking books and the Juvenile Justice Centers have not rotated their multiple libraries in a long time. Fresh books, nonfiction, fiction and educational are very much appreciated.
Please remember no spiral bindings and appropriate themes such as no sexual content whatsoever for the juvenile facilities and anime must be clean. Also remember that any material that has themes such as breaking out of prison, prison riots, making weapons or distilleries in prison, etc are not acceptable. They do prefer paperback books but they can accept some hardcover books.
